For generations the Naalted family has held sway in the land of Tymanther. Influencing politics and industry, even the very fabric of civilization. Or at least, they used to…
The eldest brother of the last son of Skaarmn was charged as a traitor to the country. By breaking an oath of allegiance with the neighboring kingdom, he caused the death of their King’s daughter. The entire story reeked of foul play at the hands of another. But the eldest brother’s “treacherous actions” became the reason behind the Naalted family’s fall from grace.
Cast out from the ranks of nobility with little more than the clothes on their backs, the family vigorously fought to restore their titles and honor. But proof didn’t matter, the mastermind pulling the strings had complete control over his puppets, the council and peoples.
All this happened just as Rasnaar became an adolescent. Because of the ridicule and shame, Rasnaar was forced to flee and strike out on his own. But a young dragonborn is not equipped to fend for himself as some of the other races at this age. Luckily for him, he found solace at the temples in the distant hillside. And after years spent in quiet meditation he unlocked his inner Ki and began the journey to a deeper understanding of the world in which he lived.
It was there in the temple that he found scrolls that tell tale of a magic item that surpasses all else. One that could allow him to return his once noble family to their former glory. All while hopefully exposing the traitorous villain, whoever he may be.
And so, against the pleadings of his teachers, Rasnaar set out to find this treasure. The monks believed (rightly) that he hadn’t finished his studies, which left in a dangerous and vulnerable place. But Rasnaar believed in the knowledge and power that can only be garnered from experience in the vast expanse of the realm.
Emboldened with the vision of restoring honor to his family, Rasnaar will stop at nothing to get his, “Wish”.
